The film follows ex-TV personality Chris Masterman, who finds himself stranded in a small Outback town just outside Alice Springs. There, he meets 12-year-old Indigenous girl Charlie, and together they form an unlikely friendship. Their journey leads them to rescuing and caring for orphaned joeys—a heart-warming mission that changes both of their lives.
Inspired by a true story and beautifully “Filmed on Country”, this film showcases the breathtaking Outback landscape while celebrating community and connection.
